|I am struggling to believe we are already at the end of January 2015, ‘time stands still for nobody’ All of us at Chalford Wealth would like to wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2015.The uncertainty/volatility on local and global markets is due to continue although there are two big positives that could prove invaluable to investors over the next twelve months.1) The first positive is the decision by the ECB to begin a Quantitative Easing (QE) Programme in March that will last until September 2016 or until an inflation target of 2% is achieved. The total value of the programme is a ‘mind blowing’ € 1 Trillion.
2) The second positive is the lower oil price which should find its way into all of our pockets via lower fuel prices and reduced inflation. In fact the latest speculation is the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Reserve Bank may consider lowering interest races during the course of the year.
These two factors are a compelling reason to invest in both local and foreign stock markets. However the constant threat of global terrorism, the Greek situation and Eskom’s and failing infrastructure do temper the outlook somewhat and ensure we remain fairly neutral in terms of our asset allocation across all of our asset classes. A combination of stable and balanced funds are our investments of choice.
Thanks to the support of our loyal client base Chalford Wealth continues to grow from strength to strength. Lyle Maasdorp is half way to obtaining his CFP and is proving an invaluable member of the team and particularly competant in managing client relationships.
Ereca Boucher, as always is a huge contributor to our success and we are all immensely proud of her son Shannon who has just been selected to represent the South Africa Hockey team.
Jayden Loots is growing his knowledge incredibly quickly and provides a much needed Chalford Wealth focus with regards to Health and Risk benefits.
Nikki Mocke is proving to be the all round star I knew she would be in terms of marketing and a host of other administrative tasks.
Our very loyal Bookeeper Noreen Davies is retiring at the end of June 2015, we will miss her.
Thanks all for your supports and we look forward to sharing a rewarding 2015.
